Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Grove Cemetery, Elizabeth City, NC. A viewing will take place on Wednesday, at the funeral home from 4pm until 8pm. The family is receiving friends at the home of his brother, Roy Lee Spence, 121 Zack Circle, Elizabeth City, NC.
He leaves to cherish his loving memories: one daughter, Valerie Spence of Boston, Mass three sons, Carlton Spence, Jr of Boston MA, Donnell Spence (Keisha) of Nashua, NH and Terry Spence of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, Roy Lee Spence (Jessie) of Elizabeth City, NC and James Spence (Gwen) of Boston, MA; one sister, Margaret Teat of Boston, MA; four grandchildren; two special nieces, Sonia Spence Armstrong and Carol Riddick Bowie; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
